Each tube is hand turned from your choice of wood. It is capable of volume for those windy days. Raspy yelps, cutts, purrs and keekees are easily obtained from this call. This is a picture of my scratch boxes I make. I don't make too many due to my time constraints. Made of Black Walnut with Mahogany sound chamber.  I make my strikers like a paddle on a box call this makes it much easier to hold onto the striker thus it's name the paddle scratcher. I use a lanyard attached to the box and striker to help from loosing it in the woods.
